Checking in and Checking out

Profuse apologies to the 2-5 people who might read this (Steve and Jared in particular, a hearty sorry is in order)
It's nearly 6 weeks since the last entry...wow thats awful.
In the meantime:
Organized a fundraiser with Trailhead to save the place I grew up camping and well grew up in general. Raised over $16,000 for the cause and pushed the charity very close to reaching its goal.
Saw another Oscar nominated movie, actually my first time at the screening room, for Good Night and Good Luck.
Have to say, between Syriana & GNGL, my respect level for Clooney is at an all time high, and I actually look forward to his next project, provided the word "Oceans" doesn't appear in the title.
Haven't seen Capote, Brokeback, Crash, North Country or a bunch of others. I should, and usually I like to be relatively expert in the films up for big awards.
Went on 'vacation' to Toronto and had a very good time, saw close friends Steve and Sage, the latter who informed me he wants to start a vineyard. This from an accountant.
The former informing me that he wants to go back to school after only 6 months away. Well we know what school it WON'T be.
Sadly came back from vacation, and less than 24 hrs later was shocked to discover that Stephanie's mother had died very suddenly. It's all very deja-vu to me and unfortunately for me, but hopefully as a help to her, I've been down this road before.
With that in mind, comes a top five list, with requests for your contributions as well.

TOP 5 Songs I want at my "life memorial shindig" (Funeral just isn't my word)

No particular order:

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Bob Dylan - Knockin' on Heaven's Door (duh, but I could take any 5 Dylan songs)
Johnny Cash - Long Black Veil (But I could do 5 Johnny Cash songs as well)
Pearl Jam - Man of the Hour
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

Ok well, not the most original list ever, but thats how it is. I think I'll probably amend that list to add some more tunes b/c I imagine I wouldn't be able to let it stand at only 5 songs.
Feel free to scoff at the list, but maybe I should have said the 5 first songs that really occur to me and that I wouldn't think were bad songs to check out to.
Any input is more than welcome.

Take Care, and don't forget to tell them you love them before its too late.
