MiPod

Finally.
I decided to buy myself a birthday present, and now I'm slowly consolidating all my music to one source, but trying to decide how many CDs to hold on to and how many to sell to Chumleigh's in order to finance buying more...
Either way, I haven't had much noteworthy stuff to write lately, but maybe I should just keep at it with daily entries even if they don't have much worth reading?
Besides I'm convinced I'm just writing to myself in most cases.
So a bit late, Gavin enters the next frontier of digital music...so far so good, great for using with the Lawnmower.

Bye Bye Stevie Y

And so ends one of the great careers in all of sports history...
I know how much I respect Yzerman, and how much I enjoyed watching him play, and I'm not even a Wings fan!
Widge on the other hand...I hope he's taking it ok.
But I am glad, b/c as much desire as he still has, there isn't much chance that he could physically play, and Stevie Franchise isn't a 3rd liner.
I also have to say I have an affinity in sports for players who spend their entire careers with the same team. It shows something, although I'm not sure how to identify it, it seems in certain sports its not as common as in others, and its definitely not as common anywhere in sports.
Thats not to say I'll automatically favour someone who stayed with the same team over someone who didn't, because I do realise that the business of sport sometimes cares not for loyalty or wishing to stay in one place.
Anyhow thats another thing for another day...
Don't really have a ton to say about Yzerman except I'd like to hear from some other sports fanatics (steve I'm looking in your direction) to see if anyone knows of another player who captained their team as long as Yzerman did.
Secondly I'll have to ask who we think will be the new captain of the red wings, something not seen since 1985, the year my brother was BORN.
Shanahan? Chelios? Lidstrom?
Anyhow, thanks for the passion Steve, we dont' see many like you anymore.
