Nostalgic Waves

Steve wrote a post recently that its been 7 years since he (and also I and most of our friends) started at the Q. Wow. I feel old now. I feel even older seeing as how I just got back from campus where I was dropping a job application off and walking amidst all the froshie girls, who are anywhere from 7-10 years younger than me. Yikes. Don't look, they weren't even out of Public School when you graduated High School.
Jokes aside though, it brought back great memories, and it doesn't help that 2 new guys at work are both going into their final years, which I remember to be the biggest blast of all.
Also who should happen to call while I was writing this but one Jeremiah Joseph Sage esq. my compadre and housemate for 3 of 4 years at Queens. Ah good times...
Steve also correctly pointed out that at Rahuls wedding he hadn't seen people in a while, but that I said it had been much longer for me, well I hope not to let it lapse like that if I can avoid it.
Anyhow, I don't sense a point coming from this rambling, just more of a stream of consciousness blabbering.

7 years...the 1990s...wow.

R U Ready 4 some Football?

Ahh September, the air is crisp, the nights cool, but the days are still sunny and warm/hot. Idyllic setting for the commencement of yet another season of the fine game that is NFL football...For the first time in a few years, I've managed without trying to get tonight free for opening game, and all of Sunday. Yeehaw.
The Birch Invitational Fantasy Football League has held its draft, and according to them will start NEXT week...grr...guess I left it too late for this week. I'm pleased with my draft, though getting the #4 pick ensured that I didn't have one of the Trio of feature backs, but I'll make due with the #1 QB across the land, though I didn't plan on it.

Thanks to those who signed up for the league, now the fun begins. For the winner of the league I publically vow to purchase a case of their favourite lager/ale. If I should happen to win, well cool.

Gentlemen start your rosters!

September? get out of town.

What the heck happened?
Its September?

ok well without further adieu: Top Songs of the summer

I have to admit it wasn't a super new summer music wise, mostly old faves and some ubiquitous ones.

in no particular order:

1)Dani California - RHCP
2) The Raconteurs - Steady as she Goes
3) Crazy - Gnarls Barkley
4) Woman - Wolfmother
5) Life Wasted - Pearl Jam
6) Crazy Bitch - Buckcherry
7) Shoot to Thrill - ACDC
8) I Bet that You Look Good on the Dancefloor - Arctic Monkeys
9) The Weight - The Band
10) Don't Run Our Hearts Around - Black Mountain

There is about an approximation of what I've subjected my ears to the most this summer. Perhaps not the most original but also not the most obvious list ever.
Just didn't seem to do the Albums this summer...

Anyhoo, I welcome any and all feedback or your particular choice cuts from Summer 2006.
