Kudos to the Baltimore Orioles Bullpen

Now I have seen it all...
for the first time in 107 years...a MLB team scored 30 runs in a game...not a doubleheader, or a series but a GAME, that works out 3 1/3 runs an inning...3 grand slams...2 7-RBI performances...and one helluva bad job by the Bullpen of the Orioles, considering they were up by 3 runs at one point...

In other baseball news...Barry finally done broke the record, but sleep easy Roger Maris, the asterisk beside THIS record will be far more talked about than yours...you were far more legit, you just had the bad luck of being Mickey Mantle's teammate.
Kudos to Hammerin' Hank Aaron who although not fond of Bonds at all, still had the class and dignity to offer a salute to the 'man' who broke his storied record. His buddy the commish wouldn't be there, but at least he had the dignity to know how to conduct himself. I wish more athletes learned from the old school class of this type of man.

Speaking of commish...Bud Selig, you are a moron. First of all I think you shouldn't be a commish based on your involvement with the Brewers, but then again its been no good years for them in a while...then calling the allstar game a tie one year...now Jason Giambi admits to breaking the rules and using the Juice under oath...and will have NO reprocussions from the league or commissioners office...Way to send a message to the kids of today Bud.
You can cheat as much as you want, but since the biggest star of our game is a cheater too, then since I won't do anything to him, you'll get away with it too.

Bud Selig could learn a thing or 3 from Mr. Roger Goodell. He is quickly becoming my favourite figurehead in sports. Classy, stern but not reactionary, he is striving to bring accountability to a league full of good men overshadowed by a handful of ignorants. I don't agree however that the Michael Vick saga is overshadowing the league itself...the loser will go to jail and no one will talk about him after a year away from the lights...and once the season actually starts well heck, no problem.

Bettman, Stern, you douchebags pay attention too and learn from the way it should be when you run a league.

On a lighter note, went back to Kingston the last couple days, had a great time at Margaritaville, and was also the oldest table at the Brass, only Smitty was older than us!
Pics to follow if there's interest.
Cheers all
